Postdoctoral Psychology Fellowship

The White Institute offers qualifying postdoctoral level psychologists and advanced externs who are near completion of their doctorate a half- time (20 hour) Fellowship at the Institute's Clinic .  At our outpatient clinic, in operation for over seventy years, we treat a wide range of patients at affordable fees.  The goal of the Postdoctoral Fellowship is to provide trainees with the opportunity to work intensively under supervision with a few patients while focusing on the interplay of intrapsychic and interpersonal dynamics. Fellows will treat a minimum of five patients and receive one-two free hours of supervision per week.  Fellowship supervisors are graduates of the White Institute's Certificate Program in Psychoanalysis. Postdoctoral Fellows will receive fees for service and may obtain all or a portion of the clinical hours required for clinicians with Limited Permits to become New York State licensed psychologists. The schedule is flexible except for classes and there is an optional second year.
