Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Queer/Questioning

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) Study Group includes psychoanalysts, candidates, and invited members who meet monthly to discuss clinical material, social issues and other topics that are relevant to LGBTQ people. While the primary focus of the group is clinical, we aim for breadth of topics considered. We present our own clinical work and writing, in addition to hosting speakers who are generally leading clinicians with a particular LGBTQ expertise. Our mission is to promote knowledge, sensitivity and awareness for clinicians who work with LGBTQ individuals. While many of our meetings are open to the mental health community, some are restricted to Study Group members. For additional information about the LGBTQ Study Group please contact chair, Dr. Esin Egit at e.egit@wawhite.org.
